Bio
Matthew Ogden is an Integration Project Manager with Maricopa Water District, where he has worked for more than twenty years. Although an Air Force brat who grew up in Panama, Montana, California and Germany, his roots have always been firmly planted on the family farm in Surprise, Arizona.

After graduating from Dysart High School in 2000. Matthew went straight to work at multiple different jobs until he finally landed at Maricopa Water District as an electrical apprentice in 2004, where he learned about SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) systems. He spent the next 10 years designing and building SCADA systems for the control of canals and well sites throughout his district. When he was not at work he spent his nights going back to school for an engineering degree from his local community college.

Spending more time learning about not just controlling the flow of the water but how the water impacts the community and the state. Matthew went back to ASU to complete the Water Management Certificate Program run by the Agribusiness and Water Council of Arizona. He is also a member of the planning committee for the West Valley Water Association.

When he is not working Matthew enjoys traveling with his amazing wife Angela, supporting his local mom & pop shops and restaurants, volunteering at the Arizona Animal Welfare League and spending time with his family.
