Bio
My name is Tate Hoisington, and I am the owner of Sun Pumps, headquartered in Safford, Arizona. Sun Pumps delivers reliable, sustainable water and power solutions to rural and remote communities across the globe. Our focus is simple: make life easier by providing dependable systems people can trust when it matters most.

I was raised in Safford and have lived and worked throughout rural communities in Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico. Growing up in a family business shaped my appreciation for hard work, service, and long-term relationships. Today, I’m passionate about building teams, solving problems, and creating practical solutions that strengthen rural economies.

I am a graduate of New Mexico State University, a private pilot, and hold multiple professional certifications. I enjoy applying engineering principles and hands-on experience to real-world challenges, especially those that directly impact agriculture and rural infrastructure.

My greatest support comes from my wife, Tiffinny, and our two children, Quintin and Kolby. Together as a family, we raise Maine Anjou cattle and are actively involved in supporting youth livestock programs such as 4-H and FFA. Investing in young people and rural leadership is something I care deeply about.

It is an honor to be part of the Arizona Center for Rural Leadership alumni community, and I look forward to continuing to serve and strengthen rural Arizona.
