Bio

Managing operations on a family ranch led to Sheldon R. Jones' deep insights regarding agribusiness sectors, paving the way for a 14-year career in agricultural commercial banking. He initially stepped into public policy as the appointed Director of Arizona's Department of Agriculture in 1997, later directing the Agri-Business Council of Arizona in 2002.

Following successful tenures serving as the Deputy Commissioner for the Colorado Department of Agriculture, 2004-2008, Vice President for the Farm Foundation, 2008-2016, and Founding Chief Operating Officer for the Soil Health Institute, 2016-2023, he returned to Arizona in 2024 to oversee AZDA's vital programmatic operations.
